Résumé : The vaccines market is a major sector of the animal health field. The economic value of vaccines represents over 20% of all products intended for animals compared to only 2% of products used by humans. This market faces major challenges, including the high number of pathogens that affect animals, currently around 160 compared to about 30 for humans. Total sales of veterinary vaccines reached $3.2 billion in 2004 and are currently growing by about 7% per year.
